One week exactly from my birthday, on April 10th, I was walking from my house in San Francisco down to grab a drink with my friends. I suddenly woke up in the hospital. Observe:
   One week after it happened. This cute little guy was one of my birthday presents.  Cool balloons sent to me on my 22nd birthday, April 17th!  My friends got me this puppy named "Patrick".  The day I got out of the hospital. Eight hours of surgery on my head, elbow and stomach later, I am finally doing okay. I am going to physical therapy, which sucks the worst dick you could ever imagine. The doctors hypothesized that I was hit in the head with a baseball bat. From my injuries, they guessed that I tried to protect myself by holding up my left elbow as cover, so that ultimately was impacted, and has been the worst pain of my life. I'm also left-handed. :( This all happened in the Castro, the same neighborhood that Harvey Milk first opened up his Camera Shop in the late 70's. He ultimately wound up being elected as a city supervisor, and changed the face of gay politics as we know it. I had the shit kicked out of me literally two blocks away from his old shop. Just wanted to share. Maybe this will open up the eyes of some people who still don't understand homosexuality, so you can see what we have to go through... FOR BEING OURSELVES. That's so fucking shitty. I can't understand why anyone would do this.
Seriously, I hope this doesn't offend you, but WHY would anyone do this? They hate homosexuality, so they think mindless violence towards a homosexual is going to eradicate all of them? Stupid people alone piss me off, but stupid violent people? Ugh. I'm really sorry man. |

Wuuuuuuut? I wondered where you were at all this time. Sad to hear this happened to you and hope you get better soon.
I have a friend who the same exact thing happened to him a couple of years ago. He woke up with a split head and other injuries in ER. It was pretty bad. I think it may have been for the same reason as well. I'm not sure if my friend is gay or not, I says he isn't, but he sure acts very flamboyant and feminine and I believe that was the reason he was attacked. Anyway, get better man. |
